Internet-Less Life

Hopeless...
It's been 3 weeks my internet line disconnecting and reconnecting like crazy. I have developed a GREAT "HATRED" - WHATEVER WORD U CALL THEM for this Streamyx/Screamyx/Streemyx. Earlier, there was one technician came but he didn't manage to solve the problem. Then, supposely another technician must come yesterday but he didn't come although my family waited and waited. Just now, my brother called the TMNet/TMNut again and even talked to the manager. My brother scolded the operators and even talked to their manager. The manager just gave another new report no. WTH!! KAU SAI!!!

Hor Ket Sam.....
So, I have nutting to do now. My internet's gone. I can partially say that my life's over without any internet service to use. My motto "Life goes on no matter what happens" can already be thrown away. Maybe, I should add another phrase to it which is "But, Life is (partially) no use anymore without internet". Actually, I can still surf but with request disconnection and it's annoying. I wanna MMO. Now, Maple's having 2X Exp for 1 week le......Hor Ket Sam ar...

Changing for the better future for everyone.....
I called my brother to change to another internet service provider. But, it's expensive and maybe they too have the same problem as the screamyx. I think our PM, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi should allocate some money into overhauling the entire wireless broadband in the whole nation or maybe allocate money for people who wants to create internet service provider company. Now, the Streamyx is like monopolying the internet business in Malaysia. Ridiculous!!! That would be the best Merdeka present for everyone. If I got money, I want to create my own internet service company in Malaysia but with a better service and at affordable price so that, every Malaysian can enjoy wireless broadband.

Moody....
I'm so frustrated. I don't think I wanna blog anymore from now on. Maybe, I will post when there's something special or when I have the mood time or when my internet is fixed. Wish me the best. Before I sign off;

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY TO EVERYONE!!!

Anwar Won the Permatang Pauh Election

Sort of expected that....
Actually, I'm not really into politics. But sometimes, I just read them since right now, it's like the hottest topic in Malaysia. Actually, I don't really understand why are they having another election. I thought the March 8 election was the end of the story. Anyway, below is part of an article written by this blogger.

As some of you have pointed out, there is a discrepancy between the Election Commission’s figure for the voter turnout of 65 per cent turnout and the actual turnout, which was 80 per cent. This discrepancy created a lot of confusion.

Anwar secured 31,195 votes; Ariff 15,524 votes and Akim’s Hanafi Mamat 92 votes (deposit lost). That is over 46,800 votes cast compared to the total voters of around 58,000.

My math whizz friend comments, “It looks like the Election Commission can only count correctly when the BN wins.”

He further analysed the results and came up with the following conclusions:

  • Anwar won two thirds of the votes cast.
  • The support for PKR comes from all ethnic groups.
  • Support for Anwar/PKR among the Malays comes in at around 60-65 per cent. Incidentally this tallies with what Din, the elderly gentleman in Kampong Petani, told me: “Out of a hundred residents here, you could say 60 to 70 support PKR.”

Reformation.......
So, based on that win, I think our Malaysian peoples' perspectives of our government is REALLY starting to change. They used to like the way our old government rules, maybe now because prices for everything has increased (BN - BARANG NAIK), everyone also don't like our BN anymore. Oh well, sometimes I still think that without the BN government, where will we be standing right now? Can we survive last time without the help of TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN'S FAMOUS QUOTE - "MERDEKA!!MERDEKA!!!MERDEKA!!!"? Though, I know we might live a better life under the British ruling. Actually, I like when our former PM, Dr. Mahathir Mohammad governs our nation time. He looks confident when giving his speech.

Another post by former PM....
This is another part of an article posted by Dr. Mahathir about the Permatang Pauh election:

1. Apa yang telah dijangka sudah pun berlaku.

2. Anwar menang.

3. Barisan Nasional kalah.

4. Saya biasa menulis berkenaan dilema Melayu. Saya percaya dalam pilihanraya kecil Permatang Pauh ramai yang berada dalam keadaan serba salah. Bukan sahaja Melayu tetapi juga bukan Melayu.

Actually, I decided to add this article here when I saw this comment on the former PM's blog:
LOL!!

Tun,

Pada asasnya ahli UMNO adalah pengecut. Semua bacul. Itulah masalah ahli UMNO. Ataupun mereka tidak ada otak. Apakah benar UMNO maksudnya 'Untuk Melayu No Otak'?

Some weird articles....
I found some articles from this website (NO "KAITAN" WITH ABOVE POLITICS).

TIGER WOODS WALKING ON WATER
The first one is a video showing Tiger Wood walking on the water and then hits a golf ball.

Recently someone noticed a “glitch” in EA Sports Tiger Woods 08,Wood 08 game, where Tiger Woods plays a shot standing on the water, the gamer created a video and the video soon became viral spreading all over the internet, People even named the shot as “Jesus Shot”, Now EA Sports sniffed a VIRAL promotional opportunity in this and instead of acknowledging the mistake, they replied back with a video to the poster promoting their upcoming golf title - Tiger Woods 09.

TRY THIS - HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

The second one is something to do with your body parts. I'm not sure whether you guys have known about it. For your information, I'm a outdated person. At first, I don't really get it and thought it was a stupid thing to do. But, when you have done it, then only you know how cool is that. I think it got something to do with our body nerves. Well, try it now. Remember do them at the same time or it will not work. These are the intructions from this webpage :

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.. Your foot will change direction!!!

Ending of Beijing Olympic 2008

Wait for another 4 years time....
I can't believe that the Olympic ended so fast. It lasted for like more than 2 weeks (16 days) and I felt like it just started yesterday. Many memories throughout this whole time, especially when Lee Chong Wei won the silver medal but i cried during that moment as I was too sad that Malaysia's hunt for a gold medal in the Olympic still continues. Besides that, I did watched Josiah Ng, Azizul Hasni Awang and Rizal Tisin cycled in the team sprint event and our Malaysian cycling team wasn't that bad after all. Overall, I just wanna congratz our Malaysian Olympic contingent for trying their best in the game although had won 1 silver medal.

China achieved their aim....
I heard from my friend that the host nation aimed to achieve 50 gold medals in the Beijing Olympic 2008. I'm sure they are celebrating right now for accomplishing that aim and even won an extra 1 gold medal making it a total of 51 gold medals. The USA Olympic team wasn't bad too but maybe the China team has improved over last 4 years time. It could be also home advantage to the China team because at any time China olympian performs, the crowd will be cheering loudly. They will be cheering "Jia You"!!!.

He looks like Datuk Seri Ahmad Badawi.....
LOL!!! Funniest thing about the Beijing Olympic Closing Ceremony is started when Leona Lewis started singing the song "Whole Lotta Love". At first, I saw Leona Lewis on the modified double-decker bus dancing. After that, she started singing. That wasn't the funniest moment. The funny thing is when I saw a cool guitarist came out of nowhere and played his guitar. So, I thought it was so cool to look at him playing the guitar. At that time, I didn't even know who's he (sorry, I'm very outdated). Then, I got to see his face and didn't think of anything. My father was watching the ceremony with me started saying "Eh, he looks like Badawi le...".

Laughing histerically.....
I looked at the guitarist for a moment and laughing like crazy the next second. Sensational stuff....(NO OFFENCE, PM!!!!) ROFL!!!!!! and I can still laugh of that right now. Actually, the guitarist's name is Jimmy Page, a Led Zeppelin guitarist. I'm dead serious that his face was so identically same as Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Malaysia's Prime Minister(PM). What's so funny here is that when Jimmy Page was playing with his guitar, his face expressions made me laugh as I was imagining PM rocking off the stage with a guitar and with great face expressions. ROFL AGAIN!!!!!

FACES OF THE SAME

  5. Be more sociable

-ACTUALLY, RIGHT NOW I ONLY HOPED THAT MY INTERNET GETS BETTER!!!

Lousy *TMNet* Technicians - What you've done?!?!?!?

Labels:

Friday, 22 August 2008
What you've done......
I asked myself, what have the technician done to my internet line?!?!? He came to my home yesterday at around 12pm time, used back the splitter and claimed to have change the internet port. Well, the internet improved a little bit in the afternoon by disconnecting every 45minutes instead of 15minutes. So, I was kinda get A LITTLE excited that the problem is solved now. But, it got so bad at night that both me and my brother were like walking here and there because my internet line was already "CHAN LIAU" - AT CRITICAL STAGE MEANS IT'S UNUSABLE....

"What you've done" reminds me of the LinkinPark's mv "What I've done". So, I decided to embed the video together with this post....I'm nutz....

Linkin Park - What I've Done

Holiday's over.....
I'm so terribly sad that my one week school holiday is coming to its end. I didn't really practically done anything except for playing Maple. I didn't do my homework yet and some of them must be passed up as soon as I get to school. This sucks..

TMNET > TMNUT

Labels:

Thursday, 21 August 2008
Familiar term....
I'm sure everyone who uses TMNet agrees with me of that term(TMNut). TMNet Streamyx is Malaysia's premier broadband provider, hooking up Malaysians nationwide with the fast-paced online world.Well, they claimed that their services are fast and reliable, however things are not really the same for me anymore. Since last week, my internet has gone haywire, disconnecting and reconnecting every 15 minutes or so.

Calling and calling...
I have been calling them for about 3 days - I know many people have called many more times than me before they got their problems solved or whatsoever - and only today, the technician came to my house to check the line. He was suppose to come my place yesterday but he went my old house's address. Fine, he came for about 15minutes and went off. He said he wanted to change the internet port for us. He even waited for SOME time to see whether the connection is still the same. But then, after a while, he went off the internet got disconnected again...

Tracking the IP....
So, right now I am tracking my internet IP address to track the interval time of my disconnection. I have been disconnected for around 2 times and the interval time was about 45 minutes once. Of course it is better now, but my brother still insisting me to call them because the problems have not been solved yet. :(

There Goes Our Hope For The First Gold Medal

Labels:

Sad moment....
When Chong Wei lost last night, I was like stamina-less to do anything else. I believe the way he fought yesterday showed that he was nervous. He could be under enormous stress because every Malaysian hoped that he will become the first Malaysia's Olympic gold medallist. He made too many mistakes on the court and I could see that he was in no form to "fight". Though, I think he already gave his best but still, that was suppose to be the match of the tournament!!!! Sobbb....

The final result: Lin Dan bt Lee Chong Wei (21-12, 21-8)

Calling the Streamyx customer service....
This morning, I called their customer service line. In fact, this is the first time I have phoned them. I wanted my father/brother to call them, but my brother said "You're big enough. Don't expect us to do everything for u...". Frustrated...So, I went to phone. I was so noob and can't even hear what the women was saying. She was speaking too soft and I kept saying "Sory! Sory Sory!". (Ket sam) Worse, when she asked me what is the model of the modem, I was like "Err...err...err...". Then, I asked my brother and he said we got 2 in 1 one, which is a modem + router. (Huan chu) In the end, she called me to configure the Alternate and Preferred DNS server and to restart the modem while she restart the line for me. The problem never solved from there...

4.48pm.....
I called them again after experiencing the same problem. I kept disconnected and reconnected like every 15 minutes or so. This time, they called me to run cmd and type ipconfig............After that, she called me to wait for her to open a report. So, now I'm waiting....Tick, tock, tick, tock....
Until when, I have no idea.

SADDEST MOMENT

9.37pm.....
That is the time that Lee Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan. But that is also the time that he won the second silver for Malaysia in the Olympic Games. I won't really wanna talk much now, coz I'm really sad. I even cried. That is totally unbelievable. I told my mom that if I failed my SPM, I also will not be that sad. Nvm, I write another post tomorrow..

Lee Chong Wei - Our Hope For The First Ever Gold For Malaysia

Labels: ,

Malaysia's history in badminton in Olympic........

1992 Barcelona Games
  • Razif Sidek and Jailani Sidek - Bronze(Doubles)

1996 Atlanta Games
  • Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock - Silver(Doubles)
  • Rashid Sidek - Bronze(Singles)

It started when the badminton game became a medal sport in the 1992 Barcelona Games - if I'm not mistaken. I was borned in that year. So, I didn't get to watch Razif Sidek and Jailani Sidek won their bronze medal in the doubles. To be precise, I don't even know how to watch TV at that time. Sob.... Next, Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock won the first ever silver medal for Malaysia. In that same Olympic Game, Rashid Sidek too had won the bronze medal in the singles. That ends our medal earning in the Olympic badminton.......But the story continues tonight...

Hoping to make history...
Tonight, at 8.48pm(+8GMT) a badminton match will be on between Lee Chong Wei(Malaysia) vs Lin Dan(China). Lee Chong Wei is trying to get the first ever Olympic gold for our nation. This is very exciting for me. I have been waiting for this moment for really long time. I know he has the capability to beat Lin Dan aka Super Dan. It is still 50-50 in terms of percentage of winning the match. But, I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY...... want him to become Malaysia's first ever Olympic gold medallist.

End of my post.....
I will write another post after the match. I hope the title will be like.."CHONG WEI HAD DONE IT!!!!" and not like..."CHONG WEI FAILED TO BECOME MALAYSIA'S FIRST EVER OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALLIST". That would be a disaster for me and the whole nation. But then, if he gives his best in that match, it is okay for him to lose or whatsoever. No matter what, like always my mother says, "There is gonna be a lose side and a winning side in a game. Accept it...."

CHONG WEI, WE SUPPORT U!

MALAYSIA BOLEH!

Wong Mew Choo LOOOSSTT!!!!

Just 1 point needed.....
OMG!!! Saddest day so far for this olympic games!!! First, Wong Mew Choo lost the first set to the world ranking no.2, Lu Lan (7-21). Ya...Mew Choo only managed to get 7 points in the first game. Then, on to the second set. The game was very tight as each player didn't really leave a big gap in the points scoring. However, Mew Choo was pretty much leading in the second set until she got to 20-15. She just needed 1 point to win the second game and moves on to the rubber game. But............., she let off the 5 game points and let Lu Lan chased to her. The heat was on at that time when both players got to 20-20. Both players were very anxious to finish off the game. So, in the process the players kept doing silly mistakes like net errors. In the end, Lu Lan won the match point because Mew Choo hitted too hard and the shuttlecocks was flew out of the back line... Actually, I would have been this sad too if I would have watched the match between WongChoongHann and Yu-Hsing Hsieh of Taipei yesterday. But, too bad I overslept..cheh!(only found out this morning)

The final result: WongMewChoo lost to LuLan (7-21, 26-28)
-edit: The actual result was (7-21, 27-29)
ARGH!!!!!!! FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!

Missed The Eclipse

Haiz....
I kept watching the sky for the whole time on Friday, but then Penang was covered with haze. There was no point for me to continue searching for the solar eclipse. Luckily, the National Geographic newsletter that I subscribed earlier got a gallery of pictures featuring solar eclipse. All these pictures I got it from National Geographic sites.

These first 6 pictures are from this gallery. (from the latest 1 August solar eclipse)

Turkish sky-watchers and tourists enjoy a historic event from an equally historic vantage point. On March 29, 2006, a total solar eclipse appeared in the skies above the Roman theater in Side, Antalya. A total eclipse is visible only within a thin strip of land covered by the moon's shadow, called the "path of totality," which stretches around the globe.
