"The Big Question"?

1. Teacher's case (ask me personally if you wanna know who...)
Yesterday, when we were discussing about one of the articles (Smut Surfers) in Cakna English Workbook, she asked us how to prevent small children (about 9-11 years old) from going into pornography sites?

Class answered:

  • Educate them
  • Give them enough exposures, so that they won't go into that kind of sites.
  • Teach them not to go. Tell them they are baddd!
-Actually, all the answers are the same. I just break them into part by part of a sentence. I couldn't really remember the answers given except this particular one. She agreed with us as well....But WAIT! Read further on....-

Another question she asked, "If you all stumbled upon a porno website, would you all be more curious and go deeper into that kind of sites?"

Class answered : "Erhm, obviously NO! They are so disgusting. They somemore got virus in that websites, destroying your computer only."

Teacher answered : "Oh, you guys are not curious enough. Maybe, you already know what's in there. If for me, I would be MORE CURIOUS and WILL GO into that site to find out what is inside there. Hahaha...."

-Okay, what an answer.-

Then, she asked us another question. Is it okay for the children to go to or to stumble upon a pornography site?

Class answered :
  • NO..
  • NO...
  • NO....
Guess what our teacher said:
  • "Erhm, I don't know about what you all (referring to the class) think, personally for me I think IT'S OKAY FOR TO GO TO/ STUMBLED UPON A PORNO SITE...."
-Let's stop the time at this moment for a while. When she said that, I was like a stump. Me and Dianne were like.... Why she said it's okay? If she said that, so she also meant that they can visit them whenever they want to? Nevermind, read further on...-

The teacher continued her answer:
  • "For me, I think if they want to go or accidentally spotted one, it's fine for me. I think they (small children) won't know what's "that" about. The more you stop them from going into that sites, the more they want to go. So, let them see what's inside there and TEACH them about what's it about. The most important thing is that they(small children) won't do what the pros are doing in porno sites. I know the small children won't understand them, thus they won't do them."
-Well, I think the part where she said "The more you stop them, the more they want to go" is kinda true. But, I don't really agree with the next one. I think that since they already so curious wanted to go and see what's in there, so they might as well try "them" out. Then, if they stumbled upon a site like that once, I'm sure they wanna go there again and again in the future.

Then, they will create a bad habit. Forcing them to think about sex all the time and it might destroy their future. Sometimes, I think the best even not to educate them. If they won't know, they won't be curious. If they are not curious, they won't go there and do them. But, if they already know about porno sites, only then we educate them. Anyway, all these are my personal opinions. Those opinions given by the teacher are also her own personal opinions. So, I'm not saying she's wrong or what. And, I gave my own opinions are only meant for small children. Those do not include for the adults or teenagers like us.

"Teenagers like us should be mature enough to know what's right and what's wrong."
That's what me and the teacher think so.....-

2. Student's case
LOL! While in biology's lab in the last period, I spotted an acronym somewhere on one of the tables. It spelled "PMK". So, I think if that someone would have written such thing, surely it means something that is not good. HAHA!! So, I thought it meant "Puki Mak Hang" (But it's PMK, so I don't think it's correct initial). Then, I asked the others. They said it could be "P*** Mak Kau". Better meaning isn't it. Continue asking the others but they were quite blur. 2 of them are Dianne and Denise.

Dianne answered : "Ar....Pendidikan Moral, (stopped)..."

-I forgot what Denise said. Maybe she answered the Moral thing also. So, I told them could it be "P*** Mak Kau"? Then, the conversation continued...-

Denise said : "What is P-U-K-I?"

-I started banging my head onto the table and laughed histerically. Why you don't know, Denise? Can't believe your language is so virgin (haven't been contaminated yet). I thought that word can be seen at most of the public bus-stops or public phone. HAIZ.....Anyway, we have taught you something new, which is NOT goooood. But, I forgotten. Everyone has their own starting point of learning new things and being a noob. So, I shouldn't laugh people like that.

When I first learnt that word from my cousin, I also reacted just the same. I shouldn't be that mean to Denise. My point here is that not to laugh at people if she/he doesn't know that new thing. Teach them first. THEN, LAUGH AT THEM!! No.....just joking, just joking, juuuuuuust joooooooking...

So, just wanna say sorry to Denise for being so mean. Right now, you know what it means already right, after being explained by Su Jen somemore. She explained even more detail than me.-
